Terms of Service for Oppi

1. About Oppi

Oppi is an educational screen time management application designed to help parents and legal guardians encourage healthier digital habits while reinforcing mathematical learning.

The Service combines Apple's Screen Time technology with educational quizzes to allow screen time to be unlocked through learning activities.

Certain optional features may use artificial intelligence (“AI”) to generate educational quiz content from educational materials provided by the parent or legal guardian.

Oppi is intended to support-not replace-parental involvement and supervision.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create and manage an Oppi setup.

Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for creating and managing child profiles.

Children may use the Service only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms.

By using Oppi, you represent that you have the legal authority to act on behalf of any child profile you create within the Service.

3. Description of the Service

Oppi provides tools that allow parents or legal guardians to:

• configure daily screen time schedules;
• require educational quizzes before additional screen time is granted;
• create child profiles;
• receive notifications related to the Service;
• optionally generate educational quizzes using AI.

The Service may evolve over time as features are added, modified, improved, or discontinued.

We reserve the right to update or modify any aspect of the Service at any time.

4. Apple Family Controls

Oppi relies on Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time technologies.

Certain features are available only on supported Apple devices and require permissions granted by the operating system.

Because these features are provided by Apple, Oppi cannot guarantee their continued availability or behavior if Apple changes, limits, or removes functionality from iOS or related services.

Oppi does not control Apple's operating system or Screen Time framework.

Apple determines how Screen Time permissions, app restrictions, and Family Controls operate.

5. Device Pairing

Oppi does not require traditional user accounts.

Instead, parent and child devices are linked using Apple's Family Controls together with an in-app pairing process.

You are responsible for ensuring that pairing is completed correctly and that only authorized devices are connected to your family setup.

You are responsible for maintaining the physical security of devices connected to the Service.

6. Artificial Intelligence Features

Oppi may offer optional AI-powered functionality that assists parents in generating educational quiz questions from homework, worksheets, textbooks, or other educational material.

Oppi currently uses Anthropic as its AI service provider for AI-powered quiz generation. Educational material submitted through the AI feature is transmitted securely to Anthropic solely to generate the requested quiz. We may replace or add AI service providers in the future if necessary to improve the Service or to meet technical, operational, or legal requirements.

The AI feature is intended solely as an educational assistance tool.

Use of the AI feature is entirely optional.

Children do not interact directly with the AI service.

Only a parent or legal guardian may initiate AI-generated quizzes.

User Responsibilities

When using the AI feature, you agree that:

• you will upload only educational material that you are legally permitted to use;
• you will not knowingly upload illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing material;
• you will avoid uploading unnecessary personal or sensitive information;
• you remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated quiz content before it is presented to a child.

You retain ownership of the material you upload.

By submitting educational material to generate quizzes, you grant Middle Milk Studio AB a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process that material solely for the purpose of generating the requested educational content and operating the Service.

This license automatically ends once the processing necessary to provide the requested functionality has been completed.

AI Limitations

Artificial intelligence is not infallible.

AI-generated quizzes may occasionally contain inaccuracies, omissions, ambiguous wording, or incorrect answers.

Oppi does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, educational suitability, or correctness of AI-generated content.

Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated quizzes before children use them.

Oppi does not use AI to evaluate children, assign grades, profile users, or make automated decisions about children.

AI is used exclusively as a tool for generating educational content at the request of a parent or legal guardian.

Availability of AI Features

AI functionality depends on third-party services.

We may modify, suspend, replace, limit, or discontinue AI features at any time without prior notice if necessary due to technical, legal, operational, or commercial reasons.

The availability of AI functionality does not form part of any guaranteed service level unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. Updates to the Service

From time to time we may release updates, improvements, bug fixes, security patches, or new functionality.

Some features may require you to install the latest version of the application.

We may also remove or replace existing functionality as the Service evolves.

Continued use of Oppi following updates constitutes acceptance of the updated functionality and these Terms.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require an active subscription.

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's applicable terms and conditions.

Billing, renewals, payment processing, refunds (where applicable), and subscription management are handled by Apple.

Middle Milk Studio AB does not receive or store your payment card information, Apple ID credentials, or other payment credentials.

Subscription prices may change from time to time. Any price changes will be communicated by Apple and will apply in accordance with Apple's subscription policies.

You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Failure to maintain an active subscription may result in certain premium features becoming unavailable.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

You agree that you will not:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Service;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure;
• reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where expressly permitted by applicable law;
• use automated tools, bots, scripts, or similar technologies to access or misuse the Service;
• upload malicious software, viruses, or other harmful code;
• attempt to bypass or interfere with Apple's Family Controls or Screen Time framework;
• misuse AI features to generate illegal, harmful, misleading, defamatory, or infringing content;
• upload educational material that you do not have the legal right to use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

10. User Content

Certain features of Oppi allow parents or legal guardians to submit content, including educational material used to generate quizzes.

You retain ownership of all content that you submit.

You represent and warrant that:

• you own the content or have the necessary rights to use it;
• your use of the content does not violate any applicable law;
• your use of the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights;
• the content does not contain unlawful material.

By submitting content through the Service, you grant Middle Milk Studio AB a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the requested functionality.

We do not claim ownership of your content.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, graphics, trademarks, logos, educational content, source code, databases, documentation, and all related intellectual property rights, is owned by or licensed to Middle Milk Studio AB.

Except as expressly permitted under these Terms, you may not:

• copy;
• reproduce;
• modify;
• distribute;
• publicly display;
• commercially exploit;
• create derivative works from;
• or otherwise use

any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property rights to you.

12. Third-Party Services

Oppi relies on certain trusted third-party service providers in order to operate and improve the Service.

Oppi currently uses trusted third-party service providers, including:

• Anthropic for AI-powered quiz generation;
• AppsFlyer for attribution and marketing measurement;
• Mixpanel for product analytics;
• Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics;
• Apple App Store for subscription management and payment processing.

We may replace, remove, or add service providers from time to time where necessary to operate or improve the Service.

These providers process information only for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Middle Milk Studio AB is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or continued operation of third-party services that are outside our control.

13. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Our collection and processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding the processing of personal data, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Service if:

• you violate these Terms;
• you misuse the Service;
• your use poses a security risk;
• we are required to do so by law;
• continued operation becomes technically or commercially impractical.

We may also discontinue the Service entirely at our discretion.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of material service discontinuation.

Termination of your access does not affect provisions of these Terms that by their nature are intended to survive termination, including provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, disclaimers, governing law, and dispute resolution.

15. Service Availability

We strive to provide a reliable and secure Service. However, Oppi is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or future version of Apple's operating systems.

From time to time, the Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, software updates, technical issues, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time.

16. Disclaimers

Oppi is intended as an educational tool to support parents and legal guardians in managing screen time and encouraging learning.

Oppi does not provide educational certification, professional teaching services, medical advice, psychological advice, legal advice, or any other professional service.

The Service is intended to complement-not replace-parental supervision and judgment. Parents and legal guardians remain solely responsible for supervising children and determining whether the educational material presented through Oppi is appropriate.

AI Disclaimer

The AI-powered features provided by Oppi are intended solely to assist in generating educational quiz content.

Artificial intelligence may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate content.

Middle Milk Studio AB makes no warranty regarding the correctness, completeness, educational value, or suitability of AI-generated content.

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated quizzes before presenting them to a child.

Oppi does not use AI to assess children, determine educational performance, or make automated decisions about individuals.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Middle Milk Studio AB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

This includes, without limitation:

• loss of data;
• loss of profits;
• loss of business opportunities;
• interruption of business;
• device malfunction;
• incorrect AI-generated content;
• or any reliance placed on educational material generated through the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct where applicable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Middle Milk Studio AB's total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total subscription fees actually paid by you for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Middle Milk Studio AB, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• your violation of these Terms;
• your misuse of the Service;
• content you upload;
• infringement of third-party intellectual property rights;
• or your violation of applicable law.

19. Force Majeure

Middle Milk Studio AB shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to:

• natural disasters;
• war;
• terrorism;
• cyberattacks;
• governmental actions;
• labor disputes;
• widespread internet outages;
• failures of third-party service providers;
• interruptions to Apple's services or infrastructure;
• or other unforeseen events beyond our reasonable control.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, applicable laws, or our business operations.

When material changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice within the Service.

Your continued use of Oppi after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue your use of the Service.

21. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Any invalid provision shall be interpreted, to the greatest extent possible, in a manner that most closely reflects its original purpose while remaining legally enforceable.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Middle Milk Studio AB regarding your use of the Service.

They supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or communications relating to the Service.
